Picture Name Sex Age Comments  Curly (Austin) M Young Owner. Large 3yr old male malamute (130lbs) needs to be rehomed. He currently lives outside and is not house or crate trained. He is friendly and likes to get petted but is used to being independent and doing what he wants. NO cats or small dogs! Email Renee for more info.  Floppy (Houston) F Adult Private. A good Samaritan took Miss Floppy and her family in right after Hurricane Ike. They had been dumped and were living in the woods. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations and is on heartworm/flea preventative. Miss Floppy does have a heart murmur due to Ventricular Septal Defect and Aortic Stenosis (birth defects). She will require 6 month evaluations by vet and close monitoring. Miss Floppy has a sweet demeanor, very friendly, loves to play and would love having a play mate. A little shy at first but warms up fast. Needs basic obedience training and house manners. Kaos (Henrietta) M Adult Owner. Small young, male husky/shepherd mix. Friendly dog & good with other dogs too. Very active and needs a lot of space to run and play. Good with kids. Kingston is 3 year old, siberian husky who is house and crate trained but needs regular exercise. Does ok with other dogs his size but not small dogs. He currently lives with 3 cats. He is good with people. Email Delilah for more info. OK Mal (Broken Arrow, OK) M Young Rescue. This guy was on death row in Oklahoma when Adopt a Husky of Dallas helped to rescue him. However, he is more Mal than Husky. He gets along with all dogs and even cats!! He might have hookworms and currently being treated for kennel cough. Click here for more pics. They had been dumped and raised in woods until 5-6 months old by her mom & dad. She is still nervous around new people, but once she gets to know them she will come up for some loving right away! Loves attention and very active. Leash trained and will sit when told. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations and heart worm free. Read the family's story here. Great with children (he plays with our 3-4 year olds) but is not keen on dogs in his territory. Cats may get a playful run but he has never hurt one. Very friendly, affectionate, energetic, and yet protecti...ve. House trained at one point when he was younger; will need refresher training. Has some basic training but too much energy to listen well unless he has had a real good run. Needs a good fenced in yard (6ft+) and supervised when outside. Crate trained. Email Drake for more info.  Sofie (Houston) F Adult Rescue. Gorgeous Giant Alaskan Malamute. 5 yoa, spayed, & up to date on vetting. Friendly & easy going gal. House & kennel trained. Ok with cats! May do best as only dog or with a submissive buddy. Food & toy possessive. Prefer calm experienced Mal or large dog home without small kids. See pictures of Sofie here. Sophie has had several owners as well as litters of puppies in her short life; she was returned to Animal Control when she got too skinny. She is approx 3yr old, HW positive (medium - high), spayed, black and white female siberian husky. She loves other dogs and is very vocal when she plays. Thor loves to play with his foster brothers and loves to run around the backyard and will entertain himself with tennis balls. One, all white female 15 week old malamute puppies; dewormed; have received first two puppy shots, will get rabies soon. Very sweet, affectionate and social. Adoption fee is $300.
